If you are the type of traveler, individual, small or large group who would like to see as well as develop an understanding of Sicily, La RosaWorks can provide an itinerary and arrange for accommodations that will show you why people so often speak of Sicily as magical. As seen in Travel & Leisure Magazine’s 50 Best Places to Visit in 2016, rely on my personal experience and the discoveries I've made on my many trips. We can send you to places where you can feel the history and mingle with the locals, where you can see tradition and ritual, where you can taste the freshness of the food, even as it is made. From a quiet spot on an island cliff overlooking the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea to the crowded, colorful Sicilian markets with their characteristic musical din, a wide variety of sights and experiences await you.

Most-popular tours: Uncork Mount Etna Tour, Yoga Creativity Retreat, Villa Uliveto Terreforti, the Drawing Light Tour, and the Sicily Food & Wine Tour. La RosaWorks arranges itineraries for many tours that are not listed on these pages. We plan individual tours for you, your family, and your friends, and also for those interested in group tours to Sicily.

The Weather in Sicily

  • Sicily has many micro-climates. Weather and weather fluctuations depend on where you are which can render weather charts misleading.
  • Sicily is blessed with a lot of sun. In fact, Catania and Palermo are among the sunniest places in Europe
  • The coastal temperatures in Sicily are Mediterranean and only infrequently fall below 50 degrees on average. The south can be a little warmer than the north.
  • December, January, February and March are the colder months with dependable rain, but often for short periods. The sun often warms the day.
  • The summers are dry and can be hot. July and August temperature can climb to 85-95 degrees, with little to no rain, but some humidity.
  • Rainy months are the winter ones, with January receiving the most. Those January rains help Spring begin blooming and the days begin warming in February.
  • March is unpredictable, while April trends toward sunshine and away from rain.
  • May to October sees a little or no rain and aside from the very hot July and August days, the weather is quite pleasant.

Here’s What Clients Say

“I am still on a high. Getting the birth certificate (thank you!) and walking around Marineo was completely surreal. I happened to meet a man who was my cousin in Marineo who knew of my grandmother and her early death in the states. We laughed and hugged in the streets while the fruit seller continuously offered us free fruit. Everyone was warm and welcoming. It was over the top. All amazing, and every day was an adventure! It just didn’t stop with surprises. Thanks for all your help, expertise, and direction! I love Sicily!”
- Doreen P.

“The trip to Sicily was fabulous. The daily excursions were very interesting & provided us with a great overall view of Sicily. The guides were well informed & provided us with information & insight that went beyond previous excursions we experienced. I would have to say that this was one of the best trips I have been on. Thank you for time & help in putting this trip together.”
- Frank T.

“I needed to thank you for the outstanding job you did for us and your patience with my endless questions. This trip was everything I wanted to happen and included so much that I didn‘t know I wanted. Outstanding, amazing. Your contacts, guides and insights into this wondrous place made it possible. It also introduced me to a type of travel, especially the last four days, that I haven‘t done before… and I love it. Sadly, I’m leaving at 5 tomorrow but I know I will return. Many thanks. ””
